The Nigora is a fibre goat from crossing Nigerian Dwarf with Angora, developed in the United States and recognised by its own registry in 2007. It is the dairy-capable counterpart to the Pygora, which uses the non-dairy Pygmy.
That parentage is the point. A Nigora grows a spinnable fleece, in the same three types the Pygora registry uses, while the Nigerian Dwarf side means the does can also be milked, and the milk carries high butterfat.
They are small, tractable, and suited to a holding that wants fibre and a little milk from the same animal.
The trade is that doing two things means excelling at neither. The fleece is smaller than an Angora's and the milk is less than a dairy breed's, and as with the Pygora the fleece type you get is not guaranteed.
