Welcome to Dalkena Highlands, Newport, Washington Nestled in the beautiful mountains of northeastern Washington, Dalkena Highlands is a family-owned and operated farm dedicated to raising quality Scottish Highland cattle, practicing regenerative agriculture, and connecting people with the land and the food they eat. We're a first-generation farming family with a passion for Highlands and everything that makes this remarkable breed so special. From their distinctive appearance and hardy nature to their maternal instincts and ability to thrive on pasture, Highlands have become the heart of our farm. Our cattle are raised on our 115-acre farm, where we prioritize pasture-based management, rotational grazing, and responsible animal husbandry. We've spent years thoughtfully developing our fold, bringing in registered genetics from established breeding programs while selecting for temperament, maternal qualities, soundness, and overall functionality. While Highland beef production has become an increasingly important part of our operation, we remain passionate about raising quality breeding stock and helping other farms establish or strengthen their own folds. As our farm continues to grow and evolve, we're selectively offering registered females, young breeding prospects, and proven cows from our program. We believe in being transparent about our animals, their histories, and their individual personalities. Not every Highland is a pocket pet, and we want buyers to find animals that genuinely fit their farms and goals. Beyond our cattle, Dalkena Highlands is also home to pasture-raised pork, farm-fresh eggs, market gardens, and opportunities for our community to connect with agriculture. At the end of the day, we're a family raising cattle, raising kids, and building something we believe in. We're proud of the animals we've raised and look forward to helping them find their next homes.
